Having spent over 10 years in recruitment, I felt there was a gap in the industry and a fresh approach was needed. As a business that works within communities and helps build small Kiwi businesses through their people, I am very proud of what we do at Sprout.
The one thing I love about being part of Sprout is seeing small businesses thrive and being a part of their exciting journey. Every journey is different but all the journeys we’ve been on so far have a few things in common, they are led with passion, determination and the desire to make a serious change.
Connecting people and watching an introduction evolve into a true business partnership, whether that is through recruitment or networking, is also an extremely fulfilling part of my role.
Outside of work, I am crazy about yoga, as you might have seen on my “flippy picture”. I teach vinyasa yoga a couple of times a week within the West Auckland community. I also have a 4-year-old and a 2-year-old who keep me pretty busy. I love the outdoors and live for beach life. In winter, when life allows, we dust off the snowboards and hit the slopes. Travel is also a staple factor in our lives, give me the Pacific islands and I am a happy girl, however, we have plenty of family in Zimbabwe, which is always an option when we are planning on jet-setting.
Life for me is a juggling act, but it’s amazing. My two “jobs” and my kids bring happy chaos to my world and I wouldn’t or couldn’t be me if I didn’t have them.
