The Business
This well-established business with operations in both New Zealand and Australia is in growth mode.  Based in the highly competitive financial services sector, this business has an inclusive team-based culture, where colleagues become mates over a game of table tennis or pool in the office. 

An opportunity to progress your career and join an established business in the process of changing the way they grow and retain their SME customers, this is the sort of role that doesn’t come around too often.

The Role
With a vision to add value to customers rather than being in the firing line when they ring up to resign their contracts, this phone-based account manager role is a mixture of both growth and retention. 
You will have a portfolio of SME customers and be responsible for managing the lifecycle from onboarding to executing growth and retention strategies to seek regular feedback and tracking customer satisfaction.

This role includes:

  • Outbound calling to existing customers
  • Educating customers on how to get the most value out of their solution
  • Identifying opportunities to upsell
  • Managing customer requests 
  • Using the retention toolkit to retain customers wherever possible
The Person
As a key part of this position is retaining customers you will be a confident negotiator driven by finding a win-win solution to each retention call.  As this business is in the finance and technology space interest in and affinity for technology is essential.  We are looking for the following background:
  • Experience in telephone account management
  • Experience retaining customers with good examples of customers you've won around
  • Experience working with SMEs would be preferable but is not essential
  • Passionate about customer experience
  • Comfortable working with KPIs and sales targets
