Intermediate/senior Quantity Surveyor

This growing architectural products team is looking for an intermediate to senior Estimator/QS/Contracts Administrator, to join their unit.

With a philosophy of creating products that make buildings better, this organisation focuses on solving both simple and more complex building problems.

The role
Pivotal to the Tender and Pricing function of the business, this role will identify opportunities, quantify and estimate the costs of construction projects.  With a lean team this role will be working closely with the Procurement and Project Manager.

Typical responsibilities will include:

• Estimation of technical products 
• Estimating and measuring variations to contracts, projects and undertakings.
• Prepare and send quotes or pricing for supply.  Follow up for acceptance status.
• Completion of tender documentation and submission of tender in an appropriate time frame.
• Administer contracts filing and managing documents.
• Review plans and specifications to identify relevance for tender submission 
• Participate (where required) in meeting with the Company’s Operations Manager/Project Manager and main contractors’ representative on site.
• Compile bill of quantities.
• Risk management and interim valuations.
• Prepare site quality and site specific safety plans.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Min 4 years experience in a similar role costing a broad product range
• Strong aptitude for numbers
• High attention to detail
• Methodical in approach
• Logical thinking - ability to think critically when looking at plans
• Long memory recall
