This is a newly created global logistics manager role with a kiwi success story who are making waves on the global stage.  This business was created with the mission to help others grow on a personal level as well as at a business level. The vision is simple, be the world's best at what they do. 

Born in New Zealand, with sites in the US and the UK, this successful business now supplies worldwide. Due to this rapid growth they are now looking for a global logistics manager based either out of their head office in Whangarei or it could be based out of Auckland. 

About this opportunity
This sole charge role ensures the super smooth and seamless running of the global supply chain operations to ensure the continuous flow of raw materials, consumables, plant and equipment.  This role has been created to maximise the productivity and efficiency in each manufacturing location.

This is a blank canvas role that will require the setting up of the logistics function including creating a system to manage the logistics. This will include inventory control software, regular stock counts, help design storage, regular reporting, coordinate global purchasing, establish purchasing patterns.

There after the role will become more of a maintenance role.  But also play a key part in the setting up of new production facilities as the business continues to grow.  Such as monitoring timelines, costs and requirements of all the parts needed to start a new production facility (equipment, machinery, raw materials, fitout).  Report on progress and identify problems in advance where possible.

With a calm solutions focused mindset you’ll tackle problems head on and fast, you understand urgency and how to communicate effectively to all key stakeholders. You are adaptable and stay ahead by seeing the opportunities presented as this is simply in your DNA along with a logical and methodical approach.

To be successful in this position:

  • Proven working experience as a Logistics Manager
  • Record of successful distribution and logistics management
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills
  • Proficient in standard logistics software
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
  • Detail and process driven

Bonus points if you have worked in the printing industry previously.
